It is vital that you take some basic first aid accessories with you on your travels. You never know when you might need it, especially if you are very active and will be participating in lots of treks and activities. Plasters will always come in useful and with that you should always carry some antiseptic cream to stop cuts getting infected. Scissors are useful for many things and should be in every backpacker's backpack. On the way it is likely you will suffer from a headache or two.. especially if you're partial to a few drinks at night! So make sure you leave with an adequate supply of pain killers. For the more hardcore backpacker who is planning on lots of treks and adventures, perhaps the better option would be a first aid kit, which contains almost everything you will need.

Deluxe Nail Scissors
It's a good idea to have a pair of nail scissors with you when travelling, they can be put to use in a whole manner of ways.
